October 2007 Regional Conference
The Fall Conference was held at The Inn at Spanish Head again this year. We were well received and catered to by the staff. The next Fall Conference will be at an undetermined location at this time due to the tremendous attendance by GNHAMA members and vendors, we now need a bigger venue.
Once again we had a great conference from membership participation, vendor participation and quality speakers.
Our Vendor Dinner on Thursday evening was again a big hit. Several vendors requested to be included in our 2008 conference. Some of the comments from our vendors are “Best conference I have ever attended”, “I want to be invited back next year”, “This group really gives us quality time” and “I tell every vendor I meet that they need to come to this conference.” Our vendor participation is growing with each year and the vendor gifts are bigger and better.
Speakers for the Fall Conference we very informational and inspiring:
· Margaret Waliser spoke on customer service, conflict identification and management resolution and the Joint Commission.
· Lynn Lehrbach was from the Oregon Teamsters Union to help those of us who are in a union setting
· Valerie Rux was from DMAP (Department of Medical Assistance Program) gave information on the Medicaid Program, Healthy Kids and Outreach Programs
· Edna O gave a humorous and inspirational presentation on “Eliminate Negative Beliefs.”
The Board wants to thank each of you for your participation and your evaluation forms. With your input GNHAMA’s conferences will continue to grow and serve you as members.
